On a pretty little street, just off Park Avenue, sits the Edward Harris House Bed & Breakfast.
I'll bet you didn't even know it was there. I'll admit, I didn't know of it until we attended a party there just this past December. Yes, Rochester has many hidden gems, you just have to get out there and find them.
If you've never been there, it's a must visit. Your hosts, Susan and Manny, will make you feel right at home. It's also, a beautiful location for a small, very intimate wedding. The Inn's charm and romantic feel make it the perfect location for an elopement! This is where I come in...
I've recently begun photographing these special little elopements at the Inn. My couples have been fantastic. All they want, is a small, simple ceremony to fit their style. Each one is beautiful, and to me, gets right to the heart of what a wedding day should be about. A couple, in love, devoting their lives to each other. They don't need a large ballroom, or a five course dinner for 400 of their "closest" friends. At the end of the day, they're married, and the most important people in their lives were there to see it.
I'm not discounting larger weddings by any means, they can be gorgeous and intimate at the same time. It's just that, because of these beautiful little elopements, I've been reminded of what's truly important to a wedding day.
On that note, I'm excited to share with you some of my favorites from my most recent day at the Inn.
Elisabeth was a stunning bride, Dylan a handsome groom. With her beautiful little girls, and parents alongside them, they said their vows in the garden at the Inn. Congratulations to you Dylan and Elisabeth! I wish you love and happiness always!
